POLISH HUMANITARIAN ACTION IS LOOKING FOR MEAL OFFICER

About PAH:

Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is a non-governmental organization which mission it is to make the world a better place. For over 20 years, we have been providing relief in big and small emergencies worldwide alongside with running long-term missions in several countries in crisis.

Our interventions – of both humanitarian and development character– have been carried out in 44 countries so far. Our focus is on ensuring sustainable and stable development of regions suffering the consequences of war and/or natural disasters. PAH Mission in Somalia:

PAH has been present in Somalia since 2011. With WASH, FSL and Nutrition programs PAH supported people from the most vulnerable communities in different regions in Somalia. Our primary focus is to provide safe drinking water through rehabilitation of water infrastructure, constructing water distribution systems, and constructing rain water reservoirs. In our work we also focus on other WASH components such as improvement of sanitary conditions, hygiene promotion to make our WASH interventions fully comprehensive. Our current donors are ECHO, ARCHENOVA, SHF and UNICEF. PAH programs targets the most vulnerable IDPs, host and rural communities as well as institutions in Banadir, Lower Shebelle, Middle Shebelle and Galmudug Region.

PAH in Somalia is looking for a MEAL Officer who will become part of our operation team. The person will hold the following responsibilities:

• Assists in designing M&E activities
• Carries out M&E activities such as household interviews, Focus Group Discussions, Key Informant interviews, observations as well as other baseline and end line studies, Post Distribution Monitoring(PDM) and Participatory Impact Monitoring (PIM) activities as agreed with MEAL Coordinator
• Provide training for enumerators and assist in drafting training manuals and guidelines
• Assist in collection of lessons learnt and good practice within the organization
• Coordinates the field work of enumerators including daily briefing, supervision and debriefing
• Ensure reliability of collected data through spot random checks
• Ensure proper storage of collected data including transfer of collected data from mobile phones to kobo tool box
• Prepare M & E reports including field visits, PDMs, weekly and other adhoc reports with assistance of the MEAL Coordinator
• Assist MEAL coordinator in data analysis and writing final reports
• Assist in the monitoring of the performance tracking table
• Assist in designing assessment plans and tools including the design of data collection forms in Kobo tool box and analysis
• Collect and register complaints and feedback from beneficiaries as specified in the complaints procedure
• Address complaints with assistance from the relevant staff members
• Ensure adherence of PAH policies, tools, and guidelines
• Any other duties as required by supervisor
