BREC is an indigenous local Company with a focus on educational and related fields
It was initiated by a group of good wishers and intellectuals from the region in December 1997 with a mission to advance the education system of the region. BREC came into existence due to the lack of a centralized government that would provide a public education system of the country and in the parts of the southwest state of Somalia where most of the population is agro-pastoralists and mainly based in the rural parts of the region.
