National Fiber Optic Company (NFOC), Established in 2022, is reasonably formulated company to own, manage and operate the National Fiber Backbone Network connecting major cities of Somaliland Republic
The backbone covers more than 1,200KM stretching from Djibouti Port City all the way to the main urban areas of Somaliland and Metro Fiber Network, which will cover the following services: Managing and operating Backbone Fiber infrastructure and Managing and operating the terrestrial and metropolitan cables
NFOC shareholders consist of the major Telecom operators in Somaliland such as Somtel, Telesom, Somcable and Government
NFOC currently have lit capacity of 400GB.
