Peace and Development Action (PDA) is registered with the Government of the Federal Government of Somalia as a Non-Governmental and Not-for-Profit Organization with a vision is to be a leading Somali-based Non-Governmental Organization that strengthens the capacity and expression of ordinary citizens to become resilient and participate freely in the sustainable development of Somalia
Key thematic areas of intervention include; Food Security and Livelihoods, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Camp coordination and camp management (CCCM), Democracy & Good Governance, and Infrastructure Development. Since the year 2008, PDA has delivered projects that continuously improve the livelihoods of the poor and vulnerable Somalis including youth, women, and children. Our partners include; UNOCHA, FAO Somalia, WFP Somalia, USAID, Federal Government of Somalia. PDA vision is to empower ordinary Somali Communities that are resilient, self-reliant, healthy, free from poverty, hunger and peaceful in a democratically governed society.
