Somali children development association (SOCDA) is a Non-governmental and Non- profit making local Humanitarian and development organization, founded on 2016 as a humanitarian and development organization by Somali intellectuals and Diaspora Somali community members, established for the purpose of providing sustainable livelihoods intervention to support the most vulnerable Host & IDPs communities and returnees in areas of South-Central Somalia to have access to better protection, education, adequate primary health care services, and employment opportunities. Somali Children Development Association (SOCDA) is a grassroots Local Organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of disenfranchised Somali children, women and young girls in Somalia
SOCDA works to help Somali children, women and girls exercise their rights to pursue their individual potential to self-determination and to representation in all areas of life—political, social, cultural, and economic inclusion.
