University of Southern Somalia (USS)

Founded in 2005, the University of Southern Somalia is the oldest and most prestigious university in Southwest Somalia, and one of the most important universities in the country
A recent national assessment of all institutions of higher education by the Ministry of Culture and Higher Education listed the University of Southern Somalia as one the universities recognized by the federal government of Somalia
Since its founding, the university graduated hundreds of students with bachelor’s degrees in fields ranging from Health Sciences, Education, Business Administration, and Information Technology
These graduates today work for local, regional, national, and international organizations, UN organizations, and institutions throughout Somalia.
