    Course Description

The African Academy for Professionals (AAP) is glad to present a new training on learning Qualitative Research Methods for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), businesses & public institutions) and individuals interested in these skills.

    Overview

The qualitative study provides depth, richness, and contextual understanding of the topic.  The goal of qualitative research is to characterize, comprehend, and explain human behavior. Numerous research problems that quantitative research is unable to address are addressed through qualitative research. It is particularly effective for understanding behavior, experiences, motivation, and complicated sociopolitical notions like power, gender, or racism in a more nuanced way when combined with quantitative research. Understanding the study environment, developing the design and instruments, and triangulating the results of quantitative research can all be done with the help of qualitative research. More humanitarian workers, independent researchers, government institutions, and academia have very limited qualified qualitative researchers/staff who can conduct rich interviews, this course will give practical skills based on experience and will improve your knowledge of qualitative research methods. After this course, you will be able to have qualitative skills which enable the participants to conduct high-quality data.
