ZamZam Foundation is looking for Project Manager
ZamZam Foundation is a non-governmental and not-for profit organization, established itself in the heart of the humanitarian emergency that followed the outbreak of the civil war in Somalia in 1991. Since then, we have grown to become the largest national humanitarian and development organization in Somalia with nearly three decades of experience providing relief and support services to those most affected by the joint forces of war and famine.
Position: Project Manager
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: Hirshabelle (Bulaburte)
The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and management of the emergence and resilience project in Hirshabelle state. The position will report to the Program Director on project deliverables and in compliance with Donor and guidelines. He/she will also closely collaborate with other staff and will contribute as required to the development and implementation of other Projects.
Job Responsibilities
Project Coordination and management
- Lead the execution of projects as per the approved projects and manage the day-to-day activities of the project, coordinating among others, Project staff, and consultants.
- Mobilize target communities and stakeholders to be engaged in project implementation.
- Establish relationships with relevant government and non-government actors such as organizations dealing with emergency response, WASH, FSL, Health, and Protection.
- Establish and maintain a close working relationship with the government institutions at the Hirshabelle State, regional and district levels.
- Ensure implementation of project activities is coordinated among cluster actors and Hirshabelle line ministries.
- Establish synergies with other ongoing Projects in ZZF Somalia and contribute to the wider program development of the organization.
- Prepare annual work plans and budgets for effective implementation of the project and follow them accordingly.
- Work with Operations and Administration to seek administrative, logistics, and financial support for project activities.
Project Monitoring, Reporting, and Evaluation
- Prepare and submit monthly, Quarterly, Bi-Annual, and Annual project implementation progress updates.
- Coordinate project evaluation and audit when requested whenever necessary with MEAL and Finance teams respectively.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to the project staff.
- Provide capacity building and day-to-day coaching on program management to project staff.
- Other leadership and management tasks are explained in a general Management ToR that applies to all ZZF supervisors and leaders.
Accountability, Safeguarding, and CRM
- Ensure quality and accountability in the project implementation.
- Advocate for safeguarding practices across the country program.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring of project teams on safeguarding.
