Finance & Admin Manager

General Position Summary:

Essure the Company’s financial activities drive financial performance improve operational efficiency. Provide strategic, proactive, and forward looking financial & investment plans aligned to the organization’s strategic goals for growth & profitability. Support GM on company related activities and decisions collaborating across internal functions / departments.

Essential Job Functions:

Keep financial records using Quick books and perform financial procedures (receipts, payments requests, revenue records, petty cash, etc.

Assist the organization and management for budget management & revenue stream.

Ensure expenses are authorized and processed in accordance with agreed procedures for GEEYE

Maintain the accounting reporting process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of Payments and all supporting documentation and compliance with finance and procurement regulations.

Maintain accounting records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, well archived and Safeguarded.

Ensure agreed reporting dates are maintained according to laid down policies. Preparing Monthly, quarterly & annual financial reports.

Managing & preparing company budgets.

Develop and maintain effective office systems ( IT support, Office management, fixed Assets, supplier contact), ensuring these are consistent with Geeye’s operation requirements.

Ensure all procurement processes follow company standards. Support logistics for Geeye’s activities.

Other Administration duties assigned from time to time.

Supervisory Responsibility: Finance Officer

Reports Directly To: General Manager - Geeye

Works Directly With: Somtel Team, Other section within Geeye

• Degree in Finance or ACCA, CPA or similar qualification from recognized University

• MBA with emphasis on Corporate Finance would be an advantage

• Must have at least 8 years in Financial Management with at least 4 at a senior level within a telecommunications industry.

• Experience in the mobile telephone sector is essential

• Excellent Microsoft Excel and Power point etc.
• Proficient in spoken and written English Language.
• Extensive experience in Telecom sector in large progressive companies.
• International experience, preferably of emerging markets is necessary
• High levels of personal credibility, professionalism and integrity, effective at board level, able to lead and manage through influence and persuasion

Environmental Conditions

This position is based in Hargeisa, Somaliland. Travel within the three Geeye markets as required to support business. This position attracts a package as per Geeye salary grade and other benefits as per our Human Resource policy.

Geeye Team members represent the company and Dahabshiil Group both during and outside of work hours when deployed in a field posting or on a visit to a field posting.
