Job description

AYUUB NGO  is a non-profit, impartial, non-political and voluntary national NGO based in South Central Somalia with offices in Banadir region, South West State, Hirshabelle and Jubaland states. AYUUB was established 1991 in Ayuub village- Merka district.

AYUUB NGO has responded to Somalia’s worst humanitarian crisis for over 30 years amidst civil unrest, hunger, disease, drought and floods that have ravaged the horn of African country as a national leader in humanitarian programming in WASH, Livelihoods support, CCCM, health, nutrition, education, child protection and child rights governance. 

Our long operational history and broad geographical coverage of Banadir region, South West State, Hirshabelle, and Jubaland states have afforded us tremendous working relationships with key stakeholders, including the national government, local authorities, donors, international and local NGOs, and more so, the trust and acceptance of the communities we serve.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ·       Ensure accurate recording of all screening results and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • ·       Utilize Scope registration tools to register beneficiaries on a daily basis.
  • ·       Submit a daily list of registered beneficiaries to the Nutrition supervisor.
  • ·       Clearly explain the purpose of admission to beneficiaries within the Scope program.
  • ·       Identify and notify outreach workers of any absentees or defaulters.
  • ·       Take biometric measurements of beneficiaries.
  • ·       Welcome admitted patients and their companions, providing them with information about the center's operations.
  • ·       Update the registry with all discharges and enter follow-up information into the computer system.
  • ·       Distribute Scope cards, food rations, E-vegetable cash, and appointments for follow-up to patients and their companions.
  • ·       Upload registered beneficiaries into the Scope system on a daily basis.
  • ·       Perform top-up and redemption of Scope cards, and distribute the cards accordingly.
  • ·       Prepare a redemption report documenting card transactions.
  • ·       Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.
  • ·       ensure that all SCOPE registration kits are securely stored in an appropriate place and not left unattended.
  • ·       Undertake Beneficiaries data record in excel sheets and manuals i.e Household Principle/Alternate Recipients.
  • ·       Validate beneficiary’s data in SCOPE, i.e updating of records for those already registered to ensure their household information is up to date
  • ·       Sensitize beneficiaries about SCOPE card duplicates, i.e sensitize household recipients that they cannot be a receipt to another WFP SCOPE card.
  • ·       Carry out any other assigned duty by the supervisor.

Skills and qualifications

  • ·       Diploma in computer sciences or information technology (IT).
  • ·       Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in Scope registration for Nutrition programs.
  • ·       Proficiency in English language.
  • ·       Basic knowledge of health.
  • ·       Familiarity with local contexts and languages is an additional asset.
  • ·       Familiarity with SCOPE registration is an added advantage.
