Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician will maintain, inspect, and repair mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient terminal operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, valves, pressure safety valves (PSVs), pipelines, and related mechanical equipment.
2. Conduct preventive maintenance and identify mechanical faults, leaks, vibration, and abnormal equipment performance.
3. Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and coordinate repairs with the operations team.
4. Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment history.
5. Monitor mechanical tools and spare parts and report replenishment requirements.
6. Follow permit-to-work, equipment isolation, and terminal safety procedures.
7. Report equipment defects and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and safety.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Practical experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial, petroleum, or LPG facility.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, pipelines, and preventive maintenance.
• Good troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
