Job Title: Fuel Station Accountant
Location : Berbera , Somaliland
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fuel Station Accountant to join our team. As a Fuel
Station Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all fnancial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing fnancial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory
requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate fnancial records and providing fnancial insights to support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
● Manage daily fnancial activities, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and verifying accuracy of fnancial data.
● Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
● Maintain accurate records of fuel sales, inventory levels, and expenses related to fuel
operations.
● Prepare and fle tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
● Coordinate with external auditors during fnancial audits and assist in addressing audit fndings.
● Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
● Provide fnancial analysis and reports to management, highlighting key performance metrics
and trends.
● Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue
growth.
● Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fuel station accounting.
● Covering the Position Of the station Manager if he is not Available
Skills and qualifications
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related feld.
● Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably in a fuel station or retail environment.
● Profciency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Odoo) and Microsoft Excel.
● Strong understanding of accounting principles and fnancial reporting standards.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Attention to detail and accuracy in fnancial data management.
● Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
● Knowledge of tax laws and regulations applicable to fuel station operations.
● Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
