Position Name: Quality Assurance

Reporting to: CEO

Location: Berbera, Somaliland

POSITION FUNCTION

Manage the quality of product and compliance with all set standards

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.       Ensure quality management systems are adhered to and food safety requirements are met

2.       Verification of checklists for Quality requirements

3.       Checking that all incoming raw materials conform to the intake specifications

4.       Ensure all maintenance schedules for the machines and equipment are adhered to

5.       Ensure high level of hygiene is maintained within the Factory and source of supply

6.       Ensure consumer satisfaction for the products in terms of safety and quality is maintained.

7.       Ensure proper sorting of finished product is done and storage facility is maintained to a high level of cleanliness, within required temperature and neat arrangement of the finished product

8.       Training employees on Quality standards

9.       Analyzing internal audit reports and ensuring corrective actions are taken and issues closed.

10.    Conducting root cause analyses when a problem arises and ensuring that problems do not recur.

·         Degree in Food technology,

·         At least 4 years proven experience in Quality Assurance in the Food processing industry

·         Experience within the fishing/seafood industry

·         Knowledge of production, resource utilization, distribution and margins/profitability management relating to fish processing and sales.

·         Excellent skills in strategic planning and implementation of commercial action plans

·         Excellent skills in performance and productivity management.

·         Team leadership

·         Self-motivated
