    EAU was established in 1999 by academics and elders of the region interested in the development of national education. The university since its inception in 1999 has undergone tremendous transformation in terms of geographical coverage, courses offered and management structure. These continuous innovations were intended to develop the university teaching and learning process in order to cope with international standards.

     

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Transportation Engineering. This role involves teaching University-level courses focused on the design, construction, and maintenance of transportation systems, including highways, railways, airports, and waterways. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of professionals in the field of transportation engineering.

     

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    ·         Deliver engaging and comprehensive courses on transportation engineering for graduate students.

    ·         Create and update course materials to ensure alignment with the latest industry practices and advancements.

    ·         Conduct in-depth research on various transportation-engineering topics.

    ·         Publish research articles in reputable academic journals to contribute to the knowledge base in the field.

    ·         Supervise graduate students, providing guidance and support in their research projects and theses.

    ·         Advise students on academic and career-related matters within the realm of transportation engineering.

    ·         Participate in outreach programs aimed at promoting the field of transportation engineering to the wider public.

    ·         Engage in activities that enhance the visibility and understanding of transportation engineering in the community.

    ·         Desire and ability to provide mentorship and guidance to students pursuing careers in transportation engineering.

    ·         Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

    ·         Demonstrated ability to contribute to the academic community by publishing papers in relevant journals.

    Skills and Qualifications

    Skills and Qualifications:

    ·         A Master's degree in Transportation Engineering or a closely related field is required.

    • A minimum CGPA of 3.5 or higher.

    ·         In-depth knowledge of transportation engineering principles, practices, and methodologies.

    ·         Proficiency in applying engineering concepts to real-world transportation challenges.

    ·         Effective communication skills to deliver engaging lectures and facilitate class discussions.

    ·         Ability to convey complex engineering concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

    ·         Passion for educating and mentoring students in the field of transportation engineering.

    ·         Strong research skills with the ability to conduct and publish research in reputable academic journals.
