With a focus on alleviating suffering and fostering community resilience, WRRS works collaboratively with local communities, government entities, and international partners to implement impactful programs.

Position Overview:

Wamo Relief and Rehabilitation Services is seeking a dynamic and committed individual to join our team as a Program Officer. The Program Officer will play a key role in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of our projects, ensuring their alignment with organizational goals and contributing to the overall success of our programs.

Task and deliverables of a Program Officer

·         Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of assigned projects in accordance with organizational objectives and donor requirements.

·         Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with local communities, ensuring their active participation in project activities and promoting community-led development.

·         Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress, identify challenges, and propose solutions for continuous improvement.

·         Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate reports for donors, stakeholders, and internal use, highlighting project achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.

·         Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and government agencies to ensure effective project coordination and resource utilization.

Capacity Building: Support the capacity-building initiatives of  WRRS staff and community members to enhance their skills and contribute to sustainable 

Skills and qualifications

v  At least Bachelor’s Degree  in Social Science  or other related field;

v  Four  (4) years of relevant NGO experience is ideal;

v  Previous communications experience is ideal;

v  Ability to work independently and under pressure;

v  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

v  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish working relations with target communities and project team
