Introduction
Juba Foundation is seeking a consultant with necessary capacity and expertise to conduct a post distribution monitoring (PDM) of NFIs distributed to El-nino floods affected internally displaced HHs in Dollow, Somalia
Purpose of PDM
This post-distribution monitoring (PDM) is to monitor the distribution of non-food item (NFI) & Plastic Sheets to IDPs in Qurdubey camp in Dollow, Somalia.
SCOPE
· Conduct the PDM exercise, which may include assessing the quality and appropriateness of NFIs/Plastic Sheets distribution by evaluating the satisfaction of beneficiaries, identifying gaps or issues in the distribution/construction process, and measuring the impact of the assistance.
· Specify measurable targets to track progress and success and feedback
· Deploy tools such as questionnaires or checklists, to gather relevant information. Ensure that the tools capture data on key aspects, such as the quality of construction, functionality of distributed NFIs/Plastic Sheets, and beneficiary satisfaction.
· Train enumerators on the data collection tools and methodologies to ensure consistent and accurate data collection.
· Conduct site visits to Qurdubey IDP camp.
· Evidence based data, including photographs, videos, to support the findings.
· Analyze the collected data to identify trends, patterns, and key findings.
· Monitor the adherence to quality standards in NFIs/Plastic Sheets.
· Use statistical methods, qualitative analysis, and triangulation of data sources for a comprehensive understanding of the outcomes.
· Prepare a comprehensive report summarizing the findings, conclusions, and recommendations using the agreed format
· Present the report to Juba Foundation and provide actionable recommendations to address any identified gaps or issues and improve future interventions.
· The successful applicant and all employed through the contract will be expected to comply with relevant Juba Foundation policies with particular reference to safeguarding, protection and data protection.
Skills and qualifications
Education and experience
· Master’s degree in community development or equivalents
· Minimum 2 years of work experience
· Experience in the use of statistics and quantitative analysis.
· Experience in research and analytical activities
· Excellent report drafting skills, capable of producing high-quality analytical reports, and Good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively
· Proficiency in written and spoken English
Evaluation Period
· Evaluation process starts from 1st February 2024 and ends in three weeks
· Draft PDM report should be submitted by 21st February
· Final PDM report should be submitted by 28th February 2024
