Background:

Manhal Erigavo hospital is a community-based private hospital, implemented by Manhal charity organization. Manhal Erigavo hospital was officially inaugurated in March 2003. It is the first private Hospital in Sanag and provides high quality medical services with different clients of the clients including OPD, IPD, General medicine, General surgery, Obstetrics/ gynecological, Pediatric, Imaging, ophthalmological, dental, neonatal and training services to university students as well. Manhal Hospital fosters integrity, respect, impartiality, transparency, equity, accountability, and patient-centralism core values and maintains strong bond with government institutions, donors and private enterprises as well.

Short summary of the post

• Manhal Hospital (Erigavo) is seeking for self-motivated, self-driven, punctual and ethical person with solid background in Finance and Auditing. The incumbent is expected to have previous working exposure in health care facilities or health management.
• Handle collection of all revenues and ensure corresponding entries are made in HRMIS
• Keeping accurate records for all daily transactions using HRMIS ERP
• Managing records and receipts
• Preparing cheques for utility, tax, payroll, and other hospital bills
• Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
• Processing invoices
• Update internal systems with financial data
• Participate in financial audits
• Track bank deposits and payments
• Assist with budget preparation
• Review and implement financial policies
• Generating financial statements from the System and perform closing entries when possible
• Perform surprise physical auditing in Hospital asset, inventory and record discrepancies
• Ensure compliance on policies, procedures and other binding actors at staff-level

• Degree in Business Administration preferably Accounting stream
• Ability to multitask, prioritizes, and manages time efficiently.
• Solid background in health care industry
• Attention to detail
• Solid computer skills including Ms Office Package
• Computerized accounting including Quickbooks, Peachtree is an added advantage
• Prior exposure to working with Health Care Management System is plus but not mandatory
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work under pressure and with min supervision

Language skills

• Fluently in English
