WATER ENGINEER

Menschen für Menschen Foundation is a nongovernmental, nonreligious and nonpartisan humanitarian organization involved in Integrated Rural Development activities and Project Coordination Office (PCO) wishes to invite applicants with the following qualifications and experiences for site supervision of civil work of Rural Town Water Supply Project at Busa Town in Oromia Region and Jare Town in Somalia Region.

Number required:

•   2 (Two) or (One per each site)

Qualifications:       

• MSc or BSc in Water Engineering or Hydraulics or Irrigation or Water Resource Engineering. 

Work Experience: 

•  A Minimum of 6 years for BSc and 4 years for MSc with proven experience of design, construction supervision and contract administration. Additional experience of project proposal writing, preparation of concept notes, project coordination and report writing.

Duty stations:                

•   Busa Town in Oromia Region and Jare Town in Somalia Region

Language:   

•   A good command of spoken & written English

Salary:    

•   Negotiable

Terms of Employment:    

• Every six-month renewable contract

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan, write proposal, report and evaluate all water programs, projects and activities.

• Evaluate the study and detail design documents of water source invest

• Participate in the study and design work of all water projects.

• Revise the design documents, BOQ and costs of all projects.

• Prepare the contract documents, specifications and agreements
