PSI seeks a Project Manager/team leader for an upcoming health service delivery program in Somaliland. The Project Manager/Team leader will be responsible for overall technical leadership, management, and operations of the program. The Project Manager will ensure that the project’s goals, objectives, and strategy are achieved and that contractual requirements are met on time and within budget. The Project Manager will take a leadership role in the coordination of all activities across all relevant parties, including the Somaliland MoH, donors, and partners for the project.
Roles and Responsibilities.
- Provide overall leadership and technical direction for the health project.
- Plan, organize, and monitor all of the PSI‘s activities related to the project
- Manage all project staff.
- Serve as the point of contact between PSI and the Government as well as partners.
- Engage with the Ministry of Health’s Project Management Team (PMT) in the review of deliverables and technical conversations to ensure high-quality essential health service delivery.
- Provide quality assurance for all the PSI ‘s activities.
- Coordinate different packages of health services (PHS) delivery activities to ensure continuity of the activities.
- Work with the Government and partners to troubleshoot and proactively address challenges.
- Ensure that environmental and social safeguards requirements as outlined in the C-ESMP are implemented and reported on

Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor of Medicine, and a post-graduate degree, including a Master of Medicine (MMed) degree and a Master’s in public health (MPH), from a recognized University
- A minimum of ten years of full-time experience in managing health service delivery projects
- Experience managing essential health service delivery is strongly preferred.
- Experience in Somaliland current health context is essential.
- Demonstrated experience establishing management systems for health service delivery
- Experience with health service quality improvement preferred
- Experience managing technology or digital health implementation projects is an added advantage.
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to execute complex tasks in a timely manner
- Willingness to travel to remote areas
- Substantial experience working with Governments and partners.
- Good knowledge of supply chain systems
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytic skills
- Strong diplomacy skills
- Excellent communications skills including the ability to synthesize complex information for use across different audiences in both written and oral form.
