Job Title: Quality Control Manager
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products (readymix concrete,
concrete blocks, interlock pavers, and aggregates) meet industry standards, customer
specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role involves developing and implementing
quality control procedures, conducting tests, analyzing data, and collaborating with
production teams to maintain high-quality output.
Job Description:
● Develop, implement and maintain quality control procedures for readymix concrete,
concrete blocks, tiles and aggregates
● Conduct routine testing on raw materials, in-production and finished products to
ensure they exceed standards
● Perform slump tests, compressive strength tests, moisture content analysis, sieve
analysis and durability tests as well as other tests on raw materials
● Oversee lab operations and ensure testing equipment is accurately calibrated and
maintained
● Document test results and keep accurate quality records
● Analyze quality data to reduce defects and optimize mix designs as per conditions and
customer requirements
● Coordinate with procurement department regarding the requirement of raw materials
including aggregates, cement, water & chemical additives
● Train staff on quality standards, testing procedures and best practices

Summary of qualifications & requirements:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical
Engineering or related field
● Minimum 5+ years of experience in a quality control position within the
concrete/construction materials industry
● Strong knowledge of concrete mix designs, testing methods and quality control
procedures
● Strong knowledge of concrete production processes, equipment, and materials
● Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Somali
