Job description

Role Overview: We are currently seeking dedicated Volunteer Field Officers to join our team of seasoned trainers in delivering interventions across different Regions and Districts in Somaliland. As a Volunteer Field Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing training programs to a diverse group of learners, contributing to our mission of empowerment and transformation.

 

Responsibilities:

1.      Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions as per the Ujamaa-Africa/Empowerment Transformation Training program.

 

2.      Negotiate and confirm schools for teacher training, ensuring the timely signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Ujamaa and schools.

 

3.      Assist in facilitating discussions and the administration/collection of questionnaires/surveys at scheduled times.

 

4.      Participate in organizational calendar activities and scheduled events.

5.      Collaborate with other trainers and staff to improve training programs continually.

6.      Work with stakeholders to identify training needs and objectives.

 

7.      Design, develop, and update training programs, materials, and resources to align with organizational goals.

Skills and qualifications

       Somaliland Citizen aged between 20 and 30 years.

       Resident of Hargeisa.

       Possess a current certificate of good conduct.

       Minimum GCSE grade of C+.

 

       Fluent in English, both written and spoken, and knowledge of the community/local dialect.

 

       Experience working in the community as a community champion/community health promoter

 

       Good facilitation skills; previous experience in training, teaching, or facilitating workshops is an advantage.

       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

       Ability to adapt training methods to accommodate different learning styles.

       Ability to work under pressure.

       Stellar organizational skills, including proper time management and teamwork.
