Hill Development Company is seeking an accomplished and strategic General Manager to oversee our business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, business development, marketing, and ensuring operational efficiency. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving the company’s business objectives and maintaining the highest standards across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive company growth and profitability.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all business activities.
• Lead and manage a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work.
• Develop marketing strategies to enhance the company’s market presence and attract new clients.
• Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including market expansion and diversification.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure the company’s financial health.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions to maintain a competitive edge and adapt to changes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on business performance to the board of directors.
• Proactively monitor the progress of the project through updated schedules.
• Assist the project staff in resolving scope problems with subcontractors.
Skills and qualifications
• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field. A second Master’s degree or equivalent advanced education is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business management, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
• Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
• Ability to make strategic decisions and solve complex business problems.
• Proficiency in business management software and tools.
• Knowledge of the construction industry is advantageous.
