To support its Card Strategy function, the bank is recruiting a Card Programs and Projects Manager, who will Lead end-to-end delivery of card projects, Develop project plans, milestones, risk registers, and status Reports.

Summary of the role

The Card Programs and Projects Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering card-related projects across our debit, prepaid, and virtual card portfolios. The role ensures timely implementation of new card products, regulatory changes, technology upgrades, and process improvements while coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and card networks (Visa, UPI and MasterCard).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Head of Cards, the following will be the main responsibilities of the Card Programs and Projects Manager:

•      Lead end-to-end delivery of card projects

•      Develop project plans, milestones, risk registers, and status reports.

• Coordinate implementations involving card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), processors, and third-party vendors.

• Support rollout of new card features (contactless, tokenization, digital wallets, security enhancements).

•      Manage vendor performance, SLAs, and delivery commitments

•      Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, and project updates.

• Ensure card programs comply with regulatory requirements, scheme rules, and internal policies.

• Support audits, scheme reviews, and regulatory examinations related to card programs.

•      Prepare project documentation, business cases, and executive summaries.

•      Track KPIs, budgets, timelines, and benefits realization.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field

•      PMP, Agile or Prince 2 Certification required

•      MBA an added advantage

•      6–12 years of experience in card payments, banking, or fintech

• Proven experience managing large-scale card implementation projects i.e Visa, UnionPay and MasterCard

•      Strong understanding of card payment ecosystems and card schemes.
