SKY CABLE TV, a game changer in the Somaliland media industry, is a digital cable television service provider operating in Hargeisa and Borama with the ambition to expand to the other regions of Somaliland. SKY Cable Company is a media company that provides entertainment and news cable channels. Due to the changing and growing media, entertainment, and advertising industry in the Republic of Somaliland, SKY Cable TV is a modern and digital cable TV providing news and entertainment subscription channels broadcasted in a world standard.

The company is hiring a qualified operational manager-based Hargeisa to manage day to day operational activities of the company.    

Programming Management

SKY Cable TV, is hiring an Operations Manager based in Hargeisa.

The operations manager is expected to perform the following duties:

• Manage and direct the production, marketing, and finance team of the company.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the company
• Set operational schedule and ensure that all employee follows the schedule
• Led the identification of the user requirements for better programming and designing
• Coordinate and connect different operational activities
• Represent the company in business-related meetings and conference
• Led in the implementation of the company strategies and propose changes where relevant
• Manage the development and quality of daily programming content for the TV channels
• led the promotional, marketing, and social media strategy of the company
• Following and enforcing the Company’s policies and procedures, including the key media guidelines always and Ensuring compliance rules and regulations

• 3-5 years of media management experience
• A bachelor's degree/ higher diploma in journalism, management, marketing, or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
• Experience in media, marketing, relationship, media production, and script review is preferred
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and deadline
• Strong people management skills
• Outstanding judgment, critical and strategic thinking, organization skills, and an ability to be persistent yet diplomatic
• Must be able to work an extended schedule as the client services required
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
• Communicates clearly and effectively.
• Works well with a team
• Exhibits strong problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of current TV cable market trends.
• Demonstrates ability to formulate and manage a realistic budget.
• Exhibits ability to think both creatively and analytically.
• Possesses excellent time and people management and multi-tasking skills.
