Job Title: Somali Teacher (Primary)
Job Type: Full Time
Position: 1 Position
Job Summary: Amaano Boarding and Day School is looking for a qualified Somali teacher to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the Learners. You will teach children with patience and creativity. Your duties include designing a teaching plan and using activities and instructional methods to motivate Learners.
Responsibilities
- Design and follow a complete teaching plan.
- Organize learning materials and resources.
- Use a variety of activities and instructional methods to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities.
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information.
- Assess students’ performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis.
- Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing.
- Cooperate with administration staff.
- Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations.
Skills and qualifications
Required Work Experience
- Minimum of five years' experience in teaching Somali in primary schools.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Education.
- Proficient in Somali language.
- Good in English.
- Creative and artistic teaching abilities
- Teaching and organization skills
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent teamwork spirit
- Ability to establish excellent rapport with all school community
- Good in spoken English, collaborative and ability to work with young children
