We are looking for a versatile and skilled Network Administrator Engineer responsible for designing, building, securing, and maintaining carrier-grade networks (core, distribution, and access) along with the essential supporting systems. The role requires a strong balance of networking and system administration skills, focusing on high availability and security while adhering to best practices and industry standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Configure, operate, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco/Huawei/FortiGate), designing redundant, high-availability network topologies.
- Implement and optimize dynamic routing (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and foundational MPLS services, including executing BGP traffic engineering and managing peering policies.
- Manage and secure Linux/Windows servers supporting core services (DNS/DHCP/NTP/Syslog).
- Implement OS hardening, manage backups and Disaster Recovery (DR) mechanisms, and maintain strict security best practices and Change Control.
- Automate configurations and routine operations. Maintain accurate network diagrams, asset inventories, and detailed technical documentation (runbooks).
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and maintain efficient data flow and robust connectivity across the enterprise.
Skills and qualifications
Qualifications
- CCNP Enterprise or CCNA are required.
- NSE4 and NSE6 are also required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in ISP, telecom, or enterprise network environments.
- Proven background in network operations, system administration, and infrastructure security.
Competencies
- Technical: Proficient in managing enterprise networks (Cisco & Huawei) and Fortinet firewalls; experienced with multiple operating systems; skilled in developing secure web applications and implementing automation and system integration for efficient, secure operations.
- Core: Strong troubleshooting ability, security-focused mindset, proactive capacity planning, strict adherence to change control and documentation standards.
- Behavioral: Excellent teamwork, communication, and analytical skills; demonstrates reliability, accountability, and adaptability in high-pressure environments.
