Position Overview

• Job Title: Director of Clinical Services
• Location: Jigjiga, Somali Region, Ethiopia

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Governance: Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and clinical oversight to all medical departments, specialist physicians, and nursing staff.
• Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous clinical protocols, infection prevention and control (IPC) measures, and patient safety standards.
• Operational Leadership: Optimize hospital workflows, manage resource allocation, and oversee clinical department budgeting.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure hospital operations strictly align with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health (MoH) and Regional Health Bureau regulatory guidelines.
• Continuous Education: Lead peer reviews, medical audits, and Continuous Medical Education (CME) programs to foster talent development.
• Community Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with local healthcare partners, educational institutions, and regional health authorities. Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Master of Medicine (MMed), Medical Doctor (MD) degree, or equivalent advanced clinical specialty from a recognized university.
• Management Asset: Additional qualification in Healthcare Administration, master's in public health (MPH), or MBA is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of active clinical practice, including at least 3 years in a senior clinical leadership role (e.g., Medical Director, Head of Department).
• Licensure: Must hold a valid, active license to practice medicine issued by the Federal Ministry of Health (MoH) Ethiopia.
• Language: Fluency in English and Amharic is required; proficiency in Somali is a highly advantageous asset for community care.
