Job description

Job Summary:

Store keeper Under the direct Supervision of Logistics Division and will be responsible for appropriate storage of commodities in the warehouse per Shabelle bank Logistics Guidelines and policies in Shabelle bank Base and also assist in the Vehicle management Refueling in accordance with Vehicles management policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for complying with Shabelle bank Logistics Guidelines on management and security of warehouse and stored commodities.
  • Responsible for maintenance, inspection, proper storage, inventory and accounting of goods.
  • Follow appropriate dispatch system for goods (ie. FIFO or FEFO).
  • Plan and project appropriate warehousing space for commodities in consultation with Department Director and Logistics Division.
  • Maintain inventory and accounting system through use of stock cards (bin cards) and a warehouse ledger; All Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) confirming quantities received.
  • Ensure confirmation of quantities received from transporter into warehouse, or received by transporter to be transported from the warehouse.
  • Support delivery of goods to institutions, field warehouses or distribution points including.
  • Preparation of internal distribution records and donation Letter.
  • Prepare monthly stock movement reports.
  • Carry out any other activities as assigned by the Department Director and  Logistics Division Officer.

Skills and qualifications

  • BA Degree with Logistics & supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management Accounting & Fiancée, Business and any other Related fields

Experience:

  • 5 Years of experience of which at least 3 years in storekeeper.
  • Must have good knowledge of Communication both spoken and written English.
  • Abel to work in a hard ship situation.
  • INGO Experience is Plus.

Key Competencies.

  • In-depth, general understanding of Store Management.  
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in Warehouse    management reporting.
  • Ability to plan, organize and direct the work with skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled engaged people in the day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks within a reasonable period of time.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office including MS Word and Excel and other computer programs.
  • Professionalism, Honesty, Integrity.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English.

  • Strict adherence to the Shabelle Bank’s Warehouse policies and procedures
