    Job Description

    AYUUB NGO  is a non-profit, impartial, non-political and voluntary national NGO based in South Central Somalia with offices in Banadir region, South West State, Hirshabelle and Jubaland states. AYUUB was established 1991 in Ayuub village- Merka district.

    AYUUB NGO has responded to Somalia’s worst humanitarian crisis for over 30 years amidst civil unrest, hunger, disease, drought and floods that have ravaged the horn of African country as a national leader in humanitarian programming in WASH, Livelihoods support, CCCM, health, nutrition, education, child protection and child rights governance. 

    Our long operational history and broad geographical coverage of Banadir region, South West State, Hirshabelle, and Jubaland states have afforded us tremendous working relationships with key stakeholders, including the national government, local authorities, donors, international and local NGOs, and more so, the trust and acceptance of the communities we serve.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collect patient information, including names, ages, genders, and contact details
    • Record screening and assessment data accurately, documenting measurements such as weight, height, mid-upper arm circumference, and other relevant nutrition indicators.
    • Document the type of interventions received by participants, including supplementary feeding, counseling, medical treatment, and referrals to other healthcare professionals.
    • Maintain a detailed record of intervention dates, dosage or frequency, and any adjustments made to the intervention plan.
    • Conduct follow-up visits or monitoring sessions as required, documenting observations, progress, and any modifications made to the intervention plan based on participant needs.
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers, nutritionists, health educators, and community health workers to ensure the effective implementation and coordination of the programs.
    • Ensure that all patients records are kept confidential and comply with data protection regulations.
    • Assist in program evaluation and reporting by providing accurate and complete data from the registrar books.
    • Coordinate with program coordinators and supervisors to address any issues or concerns related to participant records and program implementation.
    • Stay updated on program guidelines, procedures, and any changes in documentation requirements.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in nutrition, public health, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in TSFP,BSFP and MCHN registrar book for Nutrition programs.
    • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
    • Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping.
    • Familiarity with basic health measurements and terminology.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing program needs.
    • Cultural sensitivity and awareness of local community dynamics.
    • Prior experience in data management or record-keeping is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of TSFP, BSFP, and MCHN programs is a plus.
