AYUUB NGO  is a non-profit, impartial, non-political and voluntary national NGO based in South Central Somalia with offices in Banadir region, South West State, Hirshabelle and Jubaland states. AYUUB was established 1991 in Ayuub village- Merka district.

AYUUB NGO has responded to Somalia’s worst humanitarian crisis for over 30 years amidst civil unrest, hunger, disease, drought and floods that have ravaged the horn of African country as a national leader in humanitarian programming in WASH, Livelihoods support, CCCM, health, nutrition, education, child protection and child rights governance. 

Our long operational history and broad geographical coverage of Banadir region, South West State, Hirshabelle, and Jubaland states have afforded us tremendous working relationships with key stakeholders, including the national government, local authorities, donors, international and local NGOs, and more so, the trust and acceptance of the communities we serve.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings and assessments following established protocols and guidelines for TSFP, BSFP, and MCHN programs.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, measure vital signs, and collect relevant health data to evaluate nutritional status and overall health.
• Identify individuals or communities at risk of malnutrition, including children under five, pregnant women, lactating women, and other vulnerable groups.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nutritionists, health educators, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and proper administration.
• Monitor the progress of individuals and communities receiving interventions, documenting their response and making necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Stay informed about current best practices, guidelines, and advancements in nutrition, maternal and child health, and nursing care.
• Collaborate with community nutrition workers and other team members to ensure the effective implementation of the programs.
• Foster a compassionate and supportive environment, respecting individuals' cultural backgrounds and promoting dignity and inclusivity.
