BAANO Healthcare Technology is seeking a qualified, experienced, and results-driven Marketing & Business Development Manager to lead and coordinate BAANO’s Sales, Marketing, and Public Relations activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening BAANO’s brand visibility, increasing customer acquisition, expanding market reach, supporting revenue growth, managing promotional campaigns, building partner relationships, and improving public communication.

BAANO connects patients, doctors, hospitals, laboratories, and healthcare service providers through digital platforms, customer support channels, and service coordination systems.
BAANO’s services include online doctor consultation, hospital appointment booking, international doctor consultation, home care coordination, laboratory booking, self-management health tips, IVR/mobile health education, patient support, and healthcare service access through app, hotline, and customer care channels.
As BAANO continues to expand its healthcare technology services, the company is looking for a capable Marketing &Business Development Manager who can lead sales growth, marketing campaigns, public relations, hospital/partner engagement, customer acquisition, and brand development in a professional and results-oriented manner.
The Marketing & Business Development Manager will lead BAANO’s overall Sales, Marketing, and Public Relations function. The role is responsible for developing and implementing practical strategies that increase BAANO’s market presence, customer base, service utilization, hospital and corporate partnerships, public visibility, and revenue opportunities.
The position requires a field-oriented, digitally capable, and commercially minded professional who understands the Banadir market, healthcare service promotion, customer behavior, hospital relations, corporate sales, digital campaigns, and public communication.
4. Key Responsibilities A. Sales, Business Growth, and Market Expansion
· Develop and implement BAANO’s monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, marketing, and PR plans.
· Lead customer acquisition strategies to increase app users, online consultations, hospital bookings, health content subscriptions, enterprise clients, and service uptake.
· Identify, approach, and follow up with hospitals, clinics, laboratories, pharmacies, companies, NGOs, schools, universities, and other potential clients or partners.
· Support the development and promotion of corporate and institutional health service packages, including employee wellness, workplace emergency care, home care, digital health solutions, and other BAANO services.
· Prepare sales proposals, pitch materials, service presentations, campaign briefs, and promotional offers for potential clients and partners.
· Monitor leads, conversion rates, market opportunities, customer feedback, and competitor activity.
· Work closely with Customer Relations, Medical, ICT, Finance, HR and Operations teams to ensure that promoted services are practical, accurate, and professionally delivered.
B. Marketing Strategy and Campaign Management
· Design and lead marketing campaigns for BAANO’s key services, including online doctor consultation, hospital appointment booking, international doctor consultation, home care, laboratory booking, self-management health tips, IVR health content, and enterprise health services.
· Manage BAANO’s digital marketing activities across social media, website, WhatsApp, SMS, call centre communication, app promotion, and online advertising channels.
· Coordinate content planning for health awareness, service promotion, customer education, testimonials, public campaigns, and new service launches.
· Develop clear, simple, and patient-friendly messages that explain BAANO’s services to the public.
· Support health campaigns, hospital partnership campaigns, community outreach, corporate outreach, and service activation events.
· Track campaign performance and recommend improvements based on results, customer response, and market feedback.
C. Public Relations and Brand Visibility
· Strengthen BAANO’s public image as a trusted, accessible, affordable, and technology-enabled healthcare service provider.
· Coordinate PR activities, public announcements, community outreach, media engagement, campaign visibility, and stakeholder communication.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, healthcare professionals, corporate clients, community leaders, influencers, media contacts, and strategic partners.
· Ensure all advertisements, public messages, promotional materials, and campaign content are professional, ethical, accurate, and aligned with BAANO’s healthcare identity.
· Support management in preparing speeches, public messages, campaign briefs, media messages, and external communication materials where required.
· Protect BAANO’s brand reputation by ensuring consistent, respectful, and patient-friendly communication.
D. Hospital, Partner, and Community Relations
· Support the growth and management of BAANO’s hospital and healthcare provider network through active relationship-building.
· Coordinate with hospitals and service providers to promote appointment booking, consultation, laboratory, referral, and related healthcare services.
· Identify high-potential hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and healthcare partners within Banadir Region.
· Support joint campaigns with partner hospitals and healthcare providers.
· Collect market insights from hospitals, patients, customer care teams, and field visits to improve BAANO’s services and customer experience.
E. Reporting, Planning, and Performance Management
· Prepare weekly sales, marketing, and PR activity updates for management.
· Submit monthly performance reports covering campaigns, leads, conversions, partnerships, customer acquisition, field visits, PR activities, and market feedback.
· Track agreed KPIs, including leads generated, partners approached, campaigns completed, customers acquired, service awareness activities delivered, and conversion outcomes.
· Maintain proper documentation of sales visits, partner meetings, campaign plans, marketing materials, customer feedback, and performance results.
· Provide practical recommendations to management on market growth, campaign improvement, pricing communication, customer engagement, and partner development.
Skills and qualifications
5. Required Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Health Management, or a related field.
· Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, business development, public relations, or customer-growth roles.
· At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory, or managerial role.
· Strong experience in digital marketing, field marketing, sales campaigns, customer acquisition, brand communication, and stakeholder engagement.
· Experience in healthcare, technology, telecom, hospital services, insurance, enterprise services, start-up environments, or customer service industries is strongly preferred.
· Previous working experience in Banadir Region/Mogadishu, especially with hospitals, corporate clients, community networks, or service-based businesses, will be an added advantage.
· Strong understanding of the Somalia market, customer behavior, institutional clients, and local business networks.
6. Required Skills and Competencies
· Strong sales, marketing, and PR leadership skills.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Ability to build relationships with hospitals, corporate clients, public institutions, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders.
· Good understanding of digital marketing, social media management, campaign planning, customer engagement, and brand positioning.
· Ability to prepare reports, proposals, presentations, marketing plans, and performance updates.
· Strong planning, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
· Good command of Somali and English, both written and spoken.
· Ability to work under pressure, meet targets, and represent BAANO professionally.
· High level of integrity, discipline, confidentiality, accountability, and commitment to healthcare service quality.
