The Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the preparation of the feasibility study, detailed engineering design and ESIA of upgrading Luuq-Beled Hawo-Dollow Road Project, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for feasibility study, ESIA (environmental and social impact assessment) and detailed engineering design for upgrading of 85km Luuq-Dollow- Beled Hawo gravel road to bituminous standard.

The services included in this project are;

• Consultancy services for feasibility study, ESIA (environmental and social impact assessment), preliminary and detailed engineering design, preparation of bill of quantities, bidding documents, drawings, and specification for upgrading of 85km Luuq-Beled Hawo-Dollow gravel road to bituminous standard. The duration of the assignment is 6months.

The Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, the establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy, October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

– 16:00 hours local time on Saturdays – Wednesdays, and 08:30 – 13:00 hours local time on Thursdays except on Public Holidays.
