IBS Bank is looking to fill the position of a Branch Managers – (Two positions)
The role reports to the Head of retails and SME

Branch Manager Duties and responsibilities of the job
ü Maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained and observes and oversees the highest level of the bank’s values.
ü Develop branch business plan and strategies that will attain acceptable market share in the branch catchment area and achieve or exceed the business goals in all products with focus on high yielding products.
ü Drives the business of the branch through acquisition of direct and walk in clients with the assistance of direct sales staff and provides feedback to the rest of the bank on competitor activities as well as the needs of clients to enable the design of winning strategies and products to achieve continuous growth in profitability of the branch.
ü Produces market and sales/tactical plans and strategies and oversees their daily and continuous execution, review and performance recording and reporting;
ü Personally attends to high value clients;
ü Markets retail products to the corporate clients in conjunction with the Corporate section working as a team;
ü Supervises and directs the field sales staff and produces sales plans and tactics;
ü Originates finance applications for submission to credit and for consideration according to the authorization guidelines;
ü Ensures that the branch operates according to the best standards following the Bank’s broad guidelines
ü Handles opening of branch,
ü Maintains staff schedules, punctuality and annual leave coverage to provide adequate coverage at all times.
ü Checking all financial and non-financial operations in the previous day and manage the branch costs and supplies.
Recruiting, training, and appraising the branch employees through the HR department.
ü Ensure Bank property, environment and documents are maintained, kept safely in a clean manner and used properly.
ü To perform other duties or responsibilities as may be required from time to time
Skills and qualifications
ü Degree or above in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
ü At least 3 years with business, banking experience.
ü Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices
ü Ability to meet sales targets and production goals
ü Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations
ü Excellent organizational skills
ü Results driven and customer focused
ü Leadership and human resources management skills.

Suitable candidates will be expected to display the following qualities:

ü Organization and time-management skills
ü Ability to assess, identify and evaluate risk, plus establish cause and prescribe and enforce solutions

ü Strong communication skills, both verbal and written is a must.
