CARDIOLOGIST
Job Summary
The Cardiologist is responsible for providing appropriate acute and chronic cardiac care by diagnosing, treating, and helping prevent heart and blood vessel disease, including heart and vascular disease, congenital heart defects, heart attacks, coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disturbances, and heart failure.
Key Responsibilities
v Provide cardiac health management in a hospital and outpatient setting.
v Diagnose and treat diseases and conditions of the heart and cardiovascular system.
v Perform non-invasive tests such as stress tests, echos, pulmonary hypertension tests, and other non-invasive tests, as applicable.
v Provide medical oversight of patient care plans as needed for accreditation of cardiac rehabilitation services.
v Provide medical evaluation /reads on echocardiogram.
v Participates in quality assurance and continuous improvement in cardiac care of Hospital inpatients.
v Participates in the development of other cardiac clinical program development as requested.
v Provides inpatient consultative cardiology service as requested by attending physicians.
v Assists private practice physicians in using hospital services efficiently and cost-effectively with their hospitalized patients
v Participates in education, training, and evaluation of house staff, medical students, and hospital personnel who have direct patient care responsibilities in the inpatient departments.
Skills and qualifications
- A Master's degree in Cardiology.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with a completed Residency program in Internal Medicine and Cardiology
- High standrad of ethical and moral conduct.
- Ability to comply with all applicable regulations, laws, policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
