DRC has been operating in Somalia since 1998 using the protection of human rights framework. Somalia is experiencing a devastating humanitarian crisis, with nearly 80% of the population in need of some form of humanitarian assistance. DRC in Somalia is scaling up the operation in emergency response through an integrated approach accessing hard to reach populations
Overall purpose of the role: (1-2 sentences)
The primary objective is to get qualified scanner to support tasks, assessments, surveys and routing data collection activities required by DRC in Mogadishu, Dollow, Beledweyne and Baidoa. The main tasks that scanners will be responsible Casual Scanner for Financial Documents DRC offices. Hence, DRC will hire experienced local scanners to undertake high quality measures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Organizing financial vouchers, stamp paid to all documents and do proper filling for both hard/soft copies
2. Filling and scanning of petty cash related vouchers properly
3. Scanning and fulling bank statements/cash counts accordingly
4. Labelling folders both Accounts as per the bank statements
5. Scanning and filling RO related vouchers
6. Filling instruction letters cash received from HQ
7. Other related works as per request from finance department
Skills and qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of a secondary school certificate; Diploma or degree in business administration
• Experience in scanning, arranging financial documents, proper archiving and checking missing documents
• Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills
Skills and Competencies:
• Fluency in local languages; working proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
• Ability to work both independently and within diverse teams
• Basic understanding of humanitarian principles, accountability standards, and ethics
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines consistently
• Displays professionalism, reliability, and consistency in completing assignments
Roster Duration: 2 years
Availability: 1st September 2025
