Cooperazione Internazionale (COOPI) is an International Italian NGO established in 1965. Since its establishment, COOPI has been undertaking activities to help and empower the poor and needy in different countries.
COOPI in SUDAN
COOPI SUDAN started its operation in 2004 and has been primarily implementing emergency, relief and early recovery programs in water hygiene and sanitation, food security and livelihood, nutrition and protection sectors.
COOPI is currently implementing several projects in North Darfur, Gedaref, Kassala and Khartoum in the sectors of WASH, Food Security and Livelihood, Climate Change adaptation and Refugee Response.
Under the framework of the on-going projects, COOPI is looking for qualified and competent Assistant Administrator/Accountant to carry out the assigned activities in the sector of competence
Duties and Responsibilities:
COOPI is seeking to hire qualified and experienced national staff in the sector of Administration/Accounting.
Under the direct supervision of the Country Administrator, he/she will be responsible to ensure the correct accounting and administrative management of the projects implemented, and ensuring the archiving of the related documents. Detailed JD is attached.
Requirements:
- University Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of working experience in a similar position in the Private or Governmental sectors or with a reputable International NGO.
- Provable knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping system, and of the use of accounting software.
- Excellent knowledge of Computer applications in Excel, Word and any relevant system to finance and accountability.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English.
- Precise, focused, objective centered, reliable, able to accomplish duties in a proper and timely manner.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Assistant Administrator/Accountant
Under the framework of on-going projects, COOPI is looking for qualified and competent Assistant Administrator/Accountant.
Position: Assistant Administrator/Accountant
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Administrator/Accountant supports the Country Administrator in ensuring the correct accounting and administrative management of the projects implemented and ensures the archiving of the related documents.
He/she will be responsible to:
Cash and Account
- Under supervision of the Country Administrator, he/she manages and control of all liquidity movements (cash and bank) and the preparation of all related documents.
- He/she ensures the correct accounting of the organizational expenses.
- He/she does the bookkeeping of all project and coordination-related expenses.
- He/she prepares monthly reconciliation of Cash and Banks transactions linked to projects.
Archiving Documentation:
- Collaborate with the project and administration staff in ensuring the archiving on the cloud of all necessary supporting documents (administrative, logistics, HR).
Planning and monitoring expenses:
- In collaboration with the project staff, he/she updates the project monitoring expenses within the budget.
Skills and qualifications
