Position Overview
The Community Mobilizer will lead beneficiary identification, group formation, mobilization, coordination
with local structures, and facilitate all community engagements. The role is central to ensuring community
ownership and smooth implementation of livelihood and child-focused activities
Main Responsibilities
Support transparent and participatory beneficiary identification and selection.
Form and strengthen Self-Help Groups (SHGs) for widows and livelihood groups.
Facilitate group dynamics training, mobilization sessions, and community meetings.
Engage community elders, women’s committees, and local authorities for coordination.
Mobilize beneficiaries for vocational/IGA trainings and peer-to-peer learning sessions.
Maintain regular communication with target communities and provide updates.
Help disseminate project information, selection criteria, and accountability procedures.
Identify community protection concerns and refer them to relevant structures.
Support sensitization on child protection, education, and women's empowerment.
Assist in planning and organizing events, trainings, and field activities
NB: Employee duties are not limited only to the above-mentioned responsibilities; they may perform other duties as
assigned

Skills and qualifications
Certificate or Diploma in Community Development, Social Work, or related field.
At least 1–2 years of experience in community mobilization or community-based programming.
Experience working with women’s groups, youth groups, or CBOs.
Strong understanding of Baidoa’s cultural context and community dynamics.
Skills & Competencies
Strong facilitation and community engagement skills.
Ability to build trust and mobilize diverse community groups.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to solve conflicts and promote social cohesion within groups.
Fluency in English and Somali; ability to write basic reports.
