agricultural machinery and equipment, we also empower locals and farmers with sustainable agrimachinery maintenance and innovative solutions to boost productivity and efficiency in the farm.
Position Overview.
We are looking for skilled technician to service, maintain, repair and support our customers across
key operational areas, including Mogadishu, Baidoa, Kismayo and other regions. The technician
will also be expected to conduct assembly of all new tractors and machinery as well as conduct
pre-delivery inspections and post-delivery installation of retailed equipment. The ideal candidate
will ensure minimal downtime of all equipment in case of a breakdown or mechanical failure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs of tractors and related machinery and
equipment.
2. To conduct all warranty related repairs for all the tractors that are within warranty coverage
period and in accordance with CNH and other Implements & OEM manufacturers
standards.
3. To prepare a tractor maintenance schedule of all the running tractors and to perform routine
customer visits for service and maintenance of those units and hence reduce downtime in
case of failure.
4. To install and calibrate new machinery including tractors, implements, planters, sprayers
etc.
5. To train farmers, operators and tractor owners on safe equipment use and basic checks and
repairs, especially during the installation period of the equipment.
6. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services conducted by filling out job cards,
assessment reports and repair history reports.
7. To support during field trainings and practical sessions of the Gaalooge sustainability
TVET training session.
8. Collaborate with other teams e.g. parts, marketing and operations team to improve
Gaalooge efficiency and service delivery to customers and farmers a like.
9. The technician should be ready to be deployed in Mogadishu, Kismayo, Baidoa and areas
within the Southwest regions

Qualifications and Requirements.
1. Diploma in agricultural engineering or mechanical engineering or in a related field (3+
years of hands-on experience in an agricultural mechanics may substitute).
2. Should have proven experience of 3+ years in repairing machinery, tractors and farm
equipment.
3. Should be proficient in English and Somali. Proficiency in any other language e.g. Italia
and Arabic will be an added advantage.
4. The candidate should have good report writing skills and demonstrate good
communications skills.
5. The candidate should be willing to work remotely and be sent to various regions within
Somalia and Somaliland as well as outside the country.
6. Should have a strong knowledge of the working of diesel engines, hydraulic systems,
welding and basic electronic systems.
7. Ideal candidate should have a strong desire to learn and do skills and knowledge upgrading.
8. The candidate should be familiar with Agri mechanization implements and workshop tools
as well as workshop safety standards.
9. Having a valid passport and a valid driving license will be an added advantage.
