📌 Position Title

Import / Export Shipping & Customs Clearance Officer

Location Berbera / Hargeisa, Somaliland

🔎 Job Responsibilities

* Handle import and export customs declaration, customs clearance, and related documentation
* Arrange shipping bookings, Bills of Lading (B/L), container stuffing, and shipment processes
* Maintain good communication with ports, customs authorities, freight forwarders, and shipping lines
* Prepare and process documents such as Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.
* Track shipment progress and monitor cargo arrival status
* Assist with the company’s international logistics and trade operations
* Resolve urgent issues related to shipping, customs declaration, and customs clearance

Requirements

* Minimum 2 years of practical experience in import/export shipping, customs clearance, logistics, or related fields (Required)
* Familiar with import/export procedures and customs clearance operations
* Experience with Berbera Port or Somaliland customs procedures is preferred
* Good English communication skills (Required)
* Proficient in Excel, Email, and office systems
* Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently
* Experience with freight forwarding companies, ports, or shipping lines is preferred
