Job Description

Infrastructure & Network Operations

·         Manage and support network infrastructure including core, distribution, and access switches (Cisco environment)

·         Configure and maintain VLANs, routing, and WAN connectivity

·         Perform troubleshooting and resolution of network-related incidents

Firewall & Security Operations

·         Manage and support firewall systems (FortiGate) including rule configuration and VPN access

·         Monitor and respond to security alerts in coordination with IT and regional teams

·         Ensure adherence to IT security policies and standards

Server & Virtualization Support

·         Support VMware / UCS infrastructure including virtual machine operations and monitoring

·         Assist in server performance monitoring and issue resolution

·         Work with regional teams on advanced infrastructure support when required

Backup & Monitoring

·         Monitor backup systems (Veeam) and ensure successful job execution

·         Support data recovery and restore procedures

·         Monitor infrastructure using Motadata AIOps and respond to alerts

Incident & Problem Management

·         Diagnose and resolve infrastructure incidents (L1/L2 support)

·         Escalate complex issues to regional teams or vendors as required

·         Ensure timely resolution and documentation of incidents

Vendor & Regional Coordination

·         Coordinate with external support providers for infrastructure support

·         Work closely with Regional and Global IT Teams for architecture alignment and escalation

·         Participate in infrastructure reviews and audits (e.g., OEE assessment)

Documentation & Governance

·         Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations and procedures

·         Ensure compliance with DP World IT policies and standards

·         Support continuous improvement of IT infrastructure processes

Qualification, Experience, and Skill.

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field

Experience

·         4–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and network operations

·         Hands-on experience in enterprise environments is preferred

Technical Skills

·         Strong knowledge of Cisco networking (LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing)

·         Experience with FortiGate or similar firewalls

·         Basic to intermediate knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V environments

·         Experience with backup solutions (e.g., Veeam)

·         Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Motadata, SolarWinds)

Soft Skills

·         Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

·         Good communication and coordination skills

·         Ability to work under pressure in operational environments

·         Team player with ability to collaborate across teams

CERTIFICATIONS (Preferred)

·         CCNA / CCNP

·         Fortinet NSE (or equivalent)

·         VMware certification (preferred but not mandatory)
