Job Title: Hotel Receptionist
Job Summary:
The Hotel Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests upon their arrival and plays a vital role in ensuring a pleasant and efficient check-in experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, answering inquiries, providing information about the hotel and its services, and ensuring guests' needs are met throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
· Guest Reception: Warmly greet guests upon arrival, check them in, issue room keys, and provide information about hotel amenities, services, and policies.
· Reservation Management: Handle booking inquiries and reservations via phone, email, or in person, adjusting room assignments as needed and managing any special requests.
· Communication Hub: Serve as the main point of contact for guests to provide information, answer questions, resolve issues, or refer guests to the appropriate staff member or department.
· Billing and Payments: Process guest check-outs, including handling payments, issuing receipts, and resolving any billing discrepancies.
· Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of guest bookings, payments, and communications. Manage and update room availability using the hotel's reservation system.
· Guest Services: Provide concierge services, including making restaurant reservations, arranging transportation, and offering recommendations for local attractions and activities.
· Safety and Security: Ensure the lobby and reception area remain secure and report any suspicious activities. Familiarize guests with emergency procedures and exits.
· Feedback Collection: Collect guest feedback during and after their stay to identify areas for improvement and ensure guest satisfaction.
Skills and qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification or degree preferred.
· Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is highly advantageous.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in computer systems, including reservation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
