Job description
Job Summary:
The Hotel and Restaurant Manager oversees the daily operations of both the hotel and restaurant of the Emeral Hotel. He/She is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, maintaining financial performance, and upholding high standards of service and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
· Supervise and coordinate all activities within the hotel and restaurant, including front desk operations, housekeeping, food and beverage service, kitchen operations, and maintenance.
· Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
· Monitor performance metrics and make adjustments to operations as needed to achieve business objectives.
Staff Management:
· Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff members across various departments.
· Provide leadership and guidance to foster a positive work environment and ensure high levels of employee morale and productivity.
· Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance issues or disciplinary matters.
Guest Services:
· Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
· Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner, striving to exceed guest expectations.
· Implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty, such as personalized service offerings and loyalty programs.
Financial Management:
· Develop and manage budgets for both the hotel and restaurant, monitoring expenses and revenues to achieve financial targets.
· Implement cost-control measures and revenue optimization strategies to maximize profitability.
· Analyze financial reports and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
Sales and Marketing:
· Execute sales and marketing strategies to attract guests and increase occupancy rates and restaurant bookings.
· Participate in promotional activities, advertising campaigns, and local marketing initiatives to drive business growth.
· Build relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other key stakeholders to expand the customer base.
Menu Development and Food Quality:
· Work closely with the chef and culinary team to develop menus that reflect guest preferences, seasonal trends, and culinary innovation.
· Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
· Manage food costs, inventory levels, and supplier relationships to optimize profitability.
Facilities Management:
· Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel and restaurant facilities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
· Coordinate with maintenance staff and external contractors to address any issues or repairs promptly.
· Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact.
Laundry Service Management
· Oversee the laundry service operations, ensuring timely and efficient processing of hotel and external client laundry needs.
· Implement quality control measures to guarantee customer satisfaction with the laundering services.
Barber Shop Management
· Ensure the barber shop operates smoothly, providing high-quality grooming services to clients.
· Manage barber staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
· Develop service menus, set pricing, and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
Fitness Center Management
· Develop and implement fitness programs and services that meet the needs of the center's membership, including group fitness classes, and personal training sessions.
· Ensure the fitness center is clean, organized, and well-maintained. Implement and enforce health and safety standards to reduce the risk of injury and comply with regulations.
Skills and qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
· Proven experience in hotel and restaurant management, with a track record of success in achieving business objectives.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
· Proficient in English Language. Arabic is an advantage.
