Title: Junior Architect

Job type: Full time                                                                                             

Location: Hargeisa, Somaliland.

The purpose of the position

We are looking for a reliable and efficient Junior Architect Engineer to help us manage our construction projects. As a Junior Architect Engineer, you should have excellent technical skills and knowledge of different design software and perform cost calculations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
• Take the “brief” to identify clients’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals.
• Examining and calculating construction/project costs
• Supervising team members and preparing work schedules
• Coordinating with Contractors and Suppliers about construction materials and project contracts
• Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
• Monitor progress and compile reports in project status
• Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
• Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required Manage changes in the project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Ensuring that all legal requirements are met throughout the project
• Obey and implement organizational policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, BS degree in Architecture, or a related field).

• At least 2 to 3 years of experience as a Construction Engineer, Civil Engineer, BS degree in Architecture or similar job role in the Construction industry.

• Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Archicad, Stad pro or similar
• Knowledge of Project Management and Construction Management software
•  Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
• Excellent technical and mathematical skills
• Good communication skills
• Displaying leadership qualities
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work and make decisions under pressure

• Leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent English-speaking writing skills and the ability to write and deliver standard reports and other related documents with matching deadlines.

Personal characteristics

• Good interpersonal skills are essential for establishing and maintaining productive working relationships.

• excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety of professional and national backgrounds

• You must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, well-organized, and capable of working under pressure.
