Position Two Title:                     Head, Human Resource Department

The head of human resource department is responsible for supervising and coordinating all the HR management activities of the university.  He/she is responsible for the implementation of the university’s HR strategies to make contributions in line with the University’s objectives;

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates the recruitment, selection and orientation processes of support and academic staff.
2. Carries out staff performance appraisals, trainings and capacity development as needed.
3. Coordinates the transfer and promotion of the University staff.
4. Ensures that discipline and cordial relations are enhanced among the University staff.
5. Ensures that adequate and proper personnel records are kept.

Qualification:        Minimum Masters’ Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management or other related field of study.

Experience:            Minimum of five years’ relevant experience, at least three of them in a supervisory HRM role.

Required Skills:

• Microsoft Office Skill (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop)
• Higher level of interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent command of English
• Teamworking
• The ability to work under tight deadlines

Mode of Employment: Fulltime with 3 months of probation period
