SEMA Surveyors Ltd is a privately owned firm specializing in geospatial technology and consulting engineering. Since its establishment 8 years ago, it has been committed to delivering top-notch services to fit the needs of our clients.

B.   Construction of Waaheen Shopping Centre Project

Since the Waaheen fire in 2022, SEMA Surveyors and its joint venture partner, after winning the competition of designing the market, have worked on the design of private and public buildings of the whole market. The role of SEMA at this stage is the main consultant of the construction project. The Waaheen Shopping Centre mall will be the largest building in Somaliland. It consists of an underground basement, ground floor and two upper floors. In this design stage the British standard for technical specifications and practices will be followed.

C.   Job Description

·         Project planning & management working closely with main design teams.

·         Site supervision and direct construction activities making sure all work is performed safely, accurately, and according to design specifications.

·         Review design plans and verify contractors are working according to plan.

·         knowledge of practical construction procedures and interpreting design drawings.

·         Extensive knowledge of Structural drawings and reading designs accurately.

·         Quality control of workmanship and materials, regularly inspecting and testing verifying the construction meets required standards.

·         Communication, acting as a point of contact between all the stakeholders.

Problem solving, identifying, and resolving problems to keep the project on track

·         Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

·         Seve (7) years of experience as a civil site engineer

·         Sound knowledge of design software: (AutoCAD, etc.)

·         Proficient in reading design drawings & attention to details.

·         Highly skilled in report writing.

Extremely proficient in the English language
