Job Title: Finance Executive
Category: Department Head / Executive

Location: Office-Based
Job Summary
The Finance Executive is a strategic leadership role responsible for the comprehensive administration, control, and development of the hotel’s accounting function. The role ensures oversight of income, expenditure, cash flow, and assets in strict accordance with company policies. It requires technical accounting expertise, strategic financial planning, and strong leadership to guide the finance team and support the achievement of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Duties Strategic Financial Leadership

Develop and maintain the annual operating budget and long-term forecasts.

Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful commentary.

Prepare monthly financial projections for revenue, costs, and payroll.

Partner with the General Manager to align financial strategy with business goals.

Lead capital expenditure planning and analysis.
-
Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance profitability.
Operational Excellence & Control
-
Oversee daily accounting functions (AP, AR, GL, Payroll).
-
Ensure accurate revenue capture and reconciliation.
-
Manage city ledger and debt collection strategies.
-
Design and monitor internal controls.
-
Ensure compliance with the Uniform System of Accounts, policies, and local regulations.
Cash & Asset Management
-
Manage daily cash positioning and liquidity.
-
Oversee bank relationships and reconciliations.
-
Authorize payments and working capital management.
-
Maintain fixed asset register and oversee verification.
-
Authorize asset disposal in line with company policy.
Reporting, Audit & Tax
-
Prepare timely monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Deliver financial dashboards and reports for management reviews.
-
Liaise with auditors and ensure smooth audit processes.

Ensure compliance with tax obligations (corporate, VAT, payroll).
Team Leadership & Development
-
Lead, mentor, and appraise finance team performance.
-
Identify training needs and coordinate staff development.
-
Foster a culture of improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.

Collaborate with department heads on budget management.

Maintain professional communication with guests, suppliers, and corporate offices.
Skills and qualifications
Job Requirements & Specifications
Education & Certifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Preferred: CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
Experience
-
6–8 years of progressive financial management experience (hospitality preferred).

Minimum 3 years in senior leadership/supervisory role.
Technical Expertise & Skills
-
Financial planning, budgeting & forecasting, audit coordination, taxation, internal controls, and cash flow management.

High proficiency in Financial ERP, advanced MS Excel, and accounting software.
