Position Title: Gallery Manager
Location: Hargeisa, Somaliland

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Gallery Manager based in Hargeisa. The Gallery Manager will oversee daily operations, manage exhibitions, liaise with artists, and coordinate events to drive community engagement. The role will include maintaining the gallery's physical space, managing sales, budgeting, and reporting, as well as promoting the gallery through marketing initiatives. The Gallery Manager will also focus on building relationships with stakeholders and enhancing the visibility of the gallery's offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Gallery Operations

Oversee daily opening and closing of the gallery
Welcome visitors and professionally present artworks
Manage sales transactions and maintain accurate financial records
Track inventory and ensure proper artwork handling
Maintain the overall presentation and atmosphere of the gallery
Creative & Sales Development

Propose innovative sales and marketing strategies
Develop seasonal campaigns and promotional ideas
Organize exhibitions and cultural events
Coordinate with artists during exhibition preparation and installations
Growth & Engagement

Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships
Strengthen audience engagement and gallery visibility
Contribute to social media and public communications
Support partnership development initiatives

Contract & Compensation

Full-time position
Basic salary (with growth-based increases aligned with the expansion and performance of the gallery)
