Background

Somaliland. We deliver high-quality residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments

visionary and experienced Senior Architect to lead our design and technical delivery teams.
Position Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Architect to lead the planning, design, and technical
delivery of Somproperty's projects. This role requires an experienced professional with
exceptional technical expertise and proven leadership capabilities to deliver complex
developments that align with the Company's strategic objectives and commitment to excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
● Lead the architectural design and delivery of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and
institutional developments.
● Develop concept designs, schematic designs, detailed architectural drawings, and
construction documentation.
● Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulatory requirements, and industry
standards.
● Review and approve architectural drawings, technical specifications, and material
selections to ensure technical accuracy.
● Provide technical leadership to the architectural team while coordinating with
multidisciplinary engineering teams.
● Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify compliance
with approved drawings.
● Represent the architectural function in client meetings, technical presentations, and
design review sessions.
● Analyse and resolve complex architectural and construction-related technical issues in a
timely manner.
● Drive innovation by promoting modern architectural practices and emerging design
technologies.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
Education
● Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, or a related field.
Experience
● Minimum 7+ years (with Master's) or 10+ years (with Bachelor's) of proven experience
in managing large-scale real estate projects.
● Demonstrated experience in the successful delivery of large-scale residential,
commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
● Proven experience in managing construction projects and leading technical teams.
● Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building materials, and applicable
building codes.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
● Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit; proficiency in
SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and rendering tools (Lumion, D5 Render,
or Twinmotion).
● BIM Experience: Practical experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) is
highly preferred.
● Professional Certifications: Being a Registered/Licensed Architect or holding a Project
Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a distinct advantage
