Job description

As a security Officer, you will paly a crucial role in maintaining a safe and security environment for our clients, visitors, guests, staffs, parked cars and company assets. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of the HQ, brand-shop and warehouse grounds, monitoring surveillance cameras and enforcing access control procedures. You will respond promptly to any security incidents, disturbances or any other emergencies and take appropriate action to resolve or escalate as necessary. Additionally, you will provide assistance to clients, visitors, guests and employee as needed, ensuring a positive and secure experience for all.

The security Officer will report to the Operations Manager. The main purpose of the security Officer is to ensure that all site-specific security requirements are adhered to and that the HQ, Brand-shops, warehouses and client’s needs are efficiently and professionally met at all times. Will oversee various aspects related to security and security including risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Security Officer is responsible for providing leadership, operational support and oversight of the security management system to enable the safest and most efficient conduct of the security activities of the company

•   Basic knowledge of security protocols and procedures

•   Oversees the daily tasks of the security guards at the company compound, ensure that security guards are adhering to their ToR and that all security procedures are understood and respected.

•   Develops Security Standard Operating Procedures applicable to his base of operations and participates in the development of the Security Plans to preserve the safety and security of all personnel, assets and operations.

•   Monitor the local security situation via various communications

•   Excellent observational skills and attention to detail

•   Protect the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment

•   Maintain statutory security protocol

•   Must be able to provide internal security training

•   Investigations experience and fully incident report

•   Maintain and write detailed incident report on all irregular incidents that might occur during shifts and keep records thereof.

•   Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

•   Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure

•   Physical fitness and stamina to perform patrol duties

•  Strong and tall stature is necessary

•  Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, night shifts, weekends and holidays

Personnel:

•  Arrange background checks (as and when required)

•   Arrange Polygraph tests (as and when required)

Emergency Response:

•      Coordinate emergency response efforts in collaboration with relevant stakeholders

•      Ensure all employees are familiar with emergency procedures

Training:

•      Conduct security workshops and training to other security staff members to enhance the safety of the company environments

Report Writing:

•      Reports on incidents

•      Reports on investigations

•      Reports on assessments

•      Reports on CCTV Camara records

•      Monthly security reports/presentations

Education:

University degree in security management or any other relevant field, or first university degree with additional years of related work experience or trainings/courses.

Work Experience:

•      Minimum of 2 – 3 years of demonstrable relevant security experience

•      Proven experience as a security guard or similar role is preferred

•      Certification in security training is an advantage
