Job Description
What we’re looking for:
NRC Ethiopia is seeking an experienced and dynamic Education Project Manager to join our team in Jigjiga Area Office. Working closely with Area Office leadership, the Country Office Education team, local authorities, consortium partners, and other key stakeholders, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, inclusive, and accountable education programmes that meet NRC standards, donor requirements, and the needs of crisis-affected communities. You will also play a pivotal role in resource mobilization, proposal development, budget management, staff coaching, and strengthening safe, child-friendly, and inclusive learning environments.
As the Education Project Manager, you will identify emerging education needs, develop innovative project proposals, and oversee the implementation of emergency and longer-term education interventions that expand access to relevant, quality learning opportunities. Your work will directly contribute to improving educational outcomes for refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and vulnerable host-community children and youth, while aligning with NRC’s global education strategy and Ethiopia Country Office priorities.
